The Pensions Regulator has issued its first contribution notice. The notice is for just over £5 million and is against a Belgian company, Michel Van de Wiele NV, in respect of the Bonas Group Pension Scheme. (Details on p.5.)

The Pensions Regulator has issued a financial support direction against 25 companies in the Nortel Group worldwide, after the sponsoring employer of the Nortel Networks UK Pension Plan was found to be “insufficiently resourced”. Appeals have been lodged. (Details on p.3.)

 
BBC scheme closes to future accrual Print E-mail

The BBC is planning to close its DB pension scheme to new members as of 1 December 2010, and to cap future increases to pensionable pay to 1% pa, from April 2011. The cap applies to benefits already accrued as well as benefits accrued in future. (Details on p.4.)

 
Regulator holds back on Visteon Print E-mail
