The DWP has announced that it plans to legislate so that the consumer prices index rather than the retail prices index is used for increasing occupational pensions in payment and for revaluing deferred pensions. (Details on p.1.)

 
Treasury consults on age-75 rule Print E-mail

The Treasury has launched a consultation on the removal of the requirement to purchase an annuity by age 75, which is to be effected in April 2011. To qualify for this option, indiv iduals must have a minimum guaranteed income. (Details on p.3.)
